🦑 STAY FRESH 🐙
It's an OPEN RP POST for all characters from Nintendo's Splatoon series! Any character and any iteration of canon are welcome, as are OCs. Multiples of characters are A-OK! You don't need to know me (Carrie) to play, either. Absolutely everyone is welcome and you're encouraged to share this post around! There's no expiration date on it, either, so feel free to stop by whenever and generally take your time with tags.
These absolutely aren't mandatory, but if you'd like a starting off point, here are some (really simple because look writing this takes a lot of effort okay) ideas and set pieces:
HANGIN' IN THE HUB
There's plenty to do in the various hub areas throughout Inkopolis! Visit a food truck, play tableturf with one another, compare weapons or try on some new clothes!
THE SHOAL
Does anyone actually do local multiplayer? A popular amusement venue - come play some games! Arcade games, dance games, crane games. We've got ya covered!
TURF WAR ET AL
I don't know if any of you are mad lads enough to RP an actual match (of any mode, not just turf!) but if you wanted to do a little vignette during one that might be fun! DRAMA, SUSPENSE, SPLATS!
AFTER A MATCH
GG! Did your team manage a win, or was it a crushing defeat? You and your teammates or the opposing team are hanging out after a turf war (or other mode of your choice.)
SALMON RUN
Part time work for fun(?) and profit! Work together and get! The Eggs! In the Basket!
SPLATFEST
It's party time! Are you enjoying the music? Are you one of the ones performing it? Or are you just debating with someone over which team is clearly superior??
WILDCARD
I'm not the cops. The sky is the limit so long as you're stayin' fresh. Maybe I'll add more prompts later.
1. Drop a toplevel with your character's name. You can do blank TLs if you wish but a starter of some sort or what you're looking to play might not hurt!
2. Tag around other people!
3. Have fun and be excellent to one another!!
Pearl Houzuki 👑 OTA
[Pearl is standing among the racks and shelves of the shops (dealer’s choice!) when she starts to hoot and holler. She holds up an item of clothing - a sweet hat, some slick kicks, or maybe a bomb-ass top, and looks right over at you. Maybe you are shopping with her and this doesn’t surprise you… or maybe you were just minding your own business and it definitely, definitely does. If it’s the latter, sorry, your business is now Pearl’s business, and she doesn’t show any signs of backing down.]
Oh, you gotta try this on! You’ll look fresh to death, trust.
DON’T GET COOKED (AFTER A MATCH)
[It was a tough match, lots of give and take and back and forth, but Pearl led a charge in the final minute that overpowered the opposing team and ultimately led to her victory. Back in the lobby, she laughs and stretches her arms above her head and addresses the losing team, perhaps including you?]
♪ Ha! Fear no listener, take no prisoner, ain’t no one on the turf got more rizz than her! MC Princess on the mic and in the lobby, out here splattin fools like you is just a hobby— ♪
Hey, I should write that down… anyway, Better luck next time, huh?
[Despite the fact she’s writing you a diss track over here, she’ll still offer a respectful fist bump. GG.

BETWEEN THE SETS (SPLATFEST)
[Splatfests go basically non-stop but realistically the performers do need to take little breaks every now and then. Catch Pearl sitting to the side of the stage in Inkopolis Square, holding a paper fast food cup and sucking down soda through a straw. Should she really be drinking water and properly hydrating instead? Probably. It’s fine. Don’t worry about it.]

[She says it with a big cheeky grin, regardless of which team’s colors you’re sporting. But you are on her team… right?]

[You gotta give Pearl credit. She has incredible taste. Thing is, he's tried on like 15 pairs so far, they've all been incredibly Fresh, and it's hard to narrow it down. He's sharing an apartment with Four, the closet just isn't that big!]
